LifeLine Van
The LifeLine Community Van program is a county-wide door-to-door van service for western Washtenaw County travelers within WAVE's service area. This program began in December 2008, made possible by a grant from the Chelsea Community Foundation.
WAVE considers the LifeLine Community Services Van program the ‘missing link’ in affordable transportation programs for western Washtenaw County travelers. Previously, WAVE was unable to travel outside a limited service area. Destinations now include:
- Chelsea Community Hospital
- St. Joseph Mercy Hospital
- University of Michigan Hospital
- Veterans Administration Hospital
- Michigan Works Job Center
- Briarwood Mall
- Education Sites
- Car Dealerships
- Area Events and Festivals
- Sporting Events
- Family and Friend Events
And many other locations!
