Shasta Angell, Community Relations Coordinator for Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE), recently visited the Chelsea Rotary Club to share how WAVE connects the Greater Western-Washtenaw area with safe, reliable, and affordable transportation.
She highlighted new initiatives, such as the WAVE Advantage card for simplified fare discounts, and updated service changes for Fiscal Year 2026 — including the transition of Stockbridge rides to CATA Rural Service, reduced service days in Grass Lake, and the discontinuation of service in Waterloo, Unadilla, and Putnam Townships.
Angell’s presentation underscored WAVE’s commitment to supporting riders through these transitions while continuing to serve seniors, families, and workers across the region.
The Interact Club at Chelsea High School is planning a share night at Culvers on Nov. 12, from 5-8 p.m. The Rotary Club will be helping out as well. Please plan on joining us to support the youth of our community.
Thanks to the efforts of Anne Nauts, Paul Schissler, Marcia Lane and Dave Gilbert, the Chelsea Rotary Club is now a member of the Peacebuilder Club Network, recognizing our club’s efforts in advancing peace and conflict resolution.
