How to Book a Ride

- Press 1 to book/make changes for a ride for today
- Press 2 for future ride bookings and changes.
- Dispatcher will ask for your information, the ride information, and see if there is availability.
- Let the dispatcher know if you qualify for a discount (senior citizen (60+), student (K-12), low income, or person with a disability).
- Pickup times are given in 10 minute windows.
- Both trips (to your destination and back) will be booked in one call
If there is no answer, please leave a voicemail. Voicemails are monitored during dispatch hours (Monday-Friday 8AM – 9:30 PM)

Book on your phone with Ride Pingo
- Download the Ride Pingo app on your phone
- Fill out the information to register for your account.
- Put in your ride details – location, date, time (the app needs at least an hour notice of a ride). Rides can be booked up to three days in the future.
- Choose Lifeline to find the ride availability.
- You can pay with a credit card on our app or pay driver with cash or bus pass upon arrival.
- The app will let you know when the trip is boked in the app.
- Watch the map to see your driver coming to you when it is time for your ride!
Pay with cash (correct change) or bus pass* (available in our office) when paying driver.
*if you would like a bus pass, let dispatch know and the driver can bring you a pass when they pick you up for your ride ($20 value)
Pay by credit card on the phone app (Ride Pingo).
12+ years old can ride by themselves.

How to Ride the WAVE
The WAVE driver will pull up to the pickup address in a bus or minivan (all WAVE vehicles are ADA compliant).
The Driver can assist riders from their door to the WAVE vehicle – drivers can not go inside any buildings. They legally have to stay in view of their vehicle.
Door-to-Door rides are rideshare – there may be other people in the vehicle and may stop before reaching your destination.
Pickup anywhere in our coverage area (orange area on the map) – home, business, dirt roads.
Destinations can be anywhere in our coverage area (orange area) and Washtenaw county (white area).
Rides are for any age, any reason (work, medical, shop, dinner, etc).
Split fares – Fare is the same whether it is 1 person or more at same address
