WAVE Expands Service to Lodi Township
Washtenaw County, MI – The Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE) is excited to announce the expansion of its door-to-door transportation service to include Lodi Township, effective April 1, 2025.
With this expansion, WAVE now offers convenient, reliable Door-to-Door transportation Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM, from Lodi township. WAVE’s Door-to-Door service provides transportation to anyone in the Greater Western Washtenaw Area (highlighted in orange on the map) to their coverage area and any location in Washtenaw County (white area on the map).
Riders in Lodi Township can now take advantage of WAVE’s affordable fares:
- $1 within the orange zone (main coverage area)
- $5 to travel beyond the orange zone into the rest of Washtenaw County
Discounted fares are available—50% off—for:
- Seniors (60+)
- People with disabilities
- K-12 students
- Individuals with low income
WAVE’s door-to-door service helps residents stay connected to jobs, healthcare, shopping, and more—safely and affordably.
More Ways to Ride with WAVE
In addition to door-to-door service, WAVE also operates fixed routes in Chelsea, Dexter, and Scio Township 7 days a week, offering even more accessible options for getting around the community.
To make things even more exciting, WAVE is currently running a Fixed Route Raffle through August 31, 2025! Riders are automatically entered each time they board a WAVE fixed route. Monthly prizes include:

Ride easier with the Ride Pingo – WAVE riders can book and manage trips using the Ride Pingo app, available for download on smartphones.
With Ride Pingo, you can:

- Track fixed-route buses in real time and see exactly when the bus will arrive at your stop
To book a ride, simply give at least one hour’s notice, and you can reserve rides up to 3 days in advance.
